Various entertainers took to Twitter to express their bitter outrage and disappointment about Chris Brown being allowed to perform at The Grammys. Miranda Lambert was highly upset, stating, “How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl! Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”
GRAMMYS 2012 RECAP
A somber mood lurked over every head at the Grammy’s as the audience prepared to celebrate wins in music as well as music’s’ sad lost. Host LL Cool J told the crowd that there were very few ways to get around it and with the participation of the audience, he poured out a prayer in honor of the late Whitney Houston.
The show continued on a lighter note full of celebrations and comebacks. Adele won the first award of the night, which was record of the year for ‘Rolling In The Deep.’ Throughout the night, she picked up several other awards including Album of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Someone Like You’ and Best Pop Vocal Album. She later performed her Grammy winning single ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and did a great job as it was her first live performance since recovering from her vocal cord microsurgery to stop some reoccurring bleeding in her throat.
Another comeback for the night was Chris Brown. It was a celebratory night for Brown, as he hasn’t performed on the Grammys since since 2008. During his electric performance with some revised Michael Jackson moves, Brown performed on a city-like foundation on what seemed to be building blocks possibly representing the hurdles he’s had to overcome these past couple of years. Along with his hit ‘Beautiful People,’ Brown performed ‘Turn up the music’ which is a single from his new album, Fortune.
In a surprise during the show, the infamous Beatles reunited and performed a collage of their hits. Paul McCartney decided to sit out the Beatles reunion and performed a solo twice during the show.
A nervous Chris Brown took home an award for best R&B for F.A.M.E. “I’m nervous I don’t know what to say….Team Breezy…We got one,” Brown said in his speech.
The identity of the man who recently hurt Taylor Swifts heart last is unknown for now, but whoever that man is was put on blast tonight as Taylor performed her song ‘Mean’.
Other performances of the night included Rihanna’s performance of her hit single, “We Found Love,” Coldplay, the legendary Tony Benett, Carrie Underwood, and a blue haired Katy Perry, who shocked audiences when the sound stopped during her performance (which turned out to be part of her performance). Nicki Minaj gave a more theatrical performance as she included a Catholic feel to the stage.
As the night was closing to wraps, Jennifer Hudson sang a snippet of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ while homage was being paid to Houston and a couple of others who lost their lives this year.
Overall, it was a great show, I feel like those who received awards really deserved them. It was a night full of well rounded performances and features and I’m definitely looking forward to next year’s awards!

Adele Wins Big At the 2012 Grammys (Photos Inside)
The fact that Adele dominated at the Grammys tonight and won all six of the awards that she was nominated for is huge! It proves that real music, pure talent and passion can sell records. She told her story, and allowed her talent to work for her, and she was rightfully awarded for it.

The youngest starlet to the Smith franchise won’t have much to be whipping back and forward any longer as she’s made the brave decision to chop it all off. Smith tweeted a picture of her newly chopped hair and has been in the news since.
It’s been mentioned more than once that Willow’s persona is of someone who’ far beyond her years, and this situation seemed to heighten those attacks, however. There may be a bigger reason to Willow deciding to go bald.
She’s actually friends with young author, Hayley Okines. Hayley suffers from a disease called Progeria. Progeria is a rare genetic disorder that produces rapid aging and fast paced hair loss.
So whether it was to be a supportive friend or to embrace her self expression, Willow has yet again basked in the spotlight and it’s well appreciated!
