According to Whitney Houston’s publicist, Kristen Foster, Houston has died at the age of 48.
The Grammy Award winning singer is known for breaking into the music industry as a teenager, and has had many great hits such as I Will Always Love You, I Have Nothing, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and so many other great hits. She has won 2 Emmys, 6 Grammys, 22 American Music Awards, 30 Billboard Awards and sold over 300,000,000 albums worldwide. She’s starred in films such as The Body Guard, Waiting To Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife, and was also starring in the soon to be released remake of Sparkle alongside American Idol Alum Jordin Sparks.
Houston was most recently spotted as a special guest at Kelly Price’s Pre-Grammy event on Thursday, February 9th, and was even in talks with the X-Factor about becoming a judge on the show for the next season.
The singer leaves behind her ex-husband, singer Bobby Brown formerly of New Edition, and their daughter, Bobbi Christina Brown.
