The newly bald Willow Smith

The youngest starlet to the Smith franchise won’t have much to be whipping back and forward any longer as she’s made the brave decision to chop it all off. Smith tweeted a picture of her newly chopped hair and has been in the news since.

It’s been mentioned more than once that Willow’s persona is of someone who’ far beyond her years, and this situation seemed to heighten those attacks, however. There may be a bigger reason to Willow deciding to go bald.

She’s actually friends with young author, Hayley Okines. Hayley suffers from a disease called Progeria. Progeria is a rare genetic disorder that produces rapid aging and fast paced hair loss.

So whether it was to be a supportive friend or to embrace her self expression, Willow has yet again basked in the spotlight and it’s well appreciated!
